Job Description

Zama is a leader in privacy-preserving cryptography. Our Blockchain division builds the secure infrastructure and SDKs that empower developers to build private applications.

In this role, you will join the QA Team as a DevOps specialist. Your mission is to build the automated infrastructure, pipelines, and environments that enable our engineers to test the Zama protocol stack.

What You Will Do

  • Build QA environments: Set up and maintain scalable, reproducible test environments using Kubernetes and Docker.

  • Handle GitOps and deployments: Manage the deployment lifecycle with ArgoCD so every protocol version can be deployed to test zama protocol reliably.

  • Improve pipelines: Design and maintain CI workflows in GitHub Actions that run complex test suites as part of our development process.

  • Automate environment provisioning: Use Terraform and Helm to provide on-demand, multi-node test networks for the QA team.

  • Add observability: Deploy and manage Prometheus and Grafana to help monitor protocol behavior and investigate issues.

  • Develop tooling: Write internal tools and scripts in Python and Bash to automate setup, test data management, and other repetitive tasks.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience: 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, ideally supporting testing for distributed systems.

  • GitOps: Strong experience with ArgoCD and GitOps-based deployment workflows.

  • Cloud-native skills: Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.

  • CI/CD: Hands-on experience building GitHub Actions pipelines.

  • Scripting: Strong Python and Bash skills.

  • Languages: Comfortable navigating Rust and TypeScript codebases for testing integration.

  • Mindset: You are a developer-focused engineer who loves building tools that make testing easier and more reliable.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with blockchain infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with chaos engineering and performance testing tools (like K6).

  • Background in cryptography or privacy-enhancing technologies.
